My name is Monica Villanueva Holmes.  I am a Curandera, Traditional Birthworker (Birth & Postpartum Doula, Perinatal Nutrition Specialist, Peer Breastfeeding Counselor.)  I live in the High Desert of the Southwest.

 

I identify as First Generation Peruvian/Indigenous/Mestiza, Polish American.  

 

I am a Wellness Coach in the Areas of Postpartum, Menopause and Special Needs Parenting.

I facilitate Talking Circles and Girl's & Women Red Tents/Rites of Passage.  I also lead Art & Craft Nights which revolve around various topics including Mental Health, Family Constellations and Wellness Topics.

 

I'm a budding herbalist who gathers ethically from the land, harvests from my organic gardens and utilizes gifted plant medicines from other Herbalists & Curanderas.

I find joy in being a maker and gatherer of eclectic and spiritually/physically healing apothecary and home items. 

 

My children and I also run La Mesilla Farmstand offering fresh produce and delectable treats made from our harvests.
